Work from home opportunities

Legit work from home opportunities are more widely available now a days than ever before. That’s because companies these days understand how difficult it is to be a parent and work a full or part time job. They now sympathize with the hard working parent and have come up with great work at home opportunities. Please take caution when searching the web for work from home jobs as they can be scams, know the signs of a scam.

Start your own blog

This is a great way to make money over time. I say “over time” because it can take a long time to get enough traffic to be able to produce some income. You would need to find a niche, make a website, get website hosting, good SEO keywords. Then post and share on social media. I personally don’t use social media like FB, Twitter ect. I use to use FB years ago, but I got so addicted to it I wasn’t paying enough attention to my family so I had to stop. I just literally signed up in Pinterest last night! Lol. I just don’t have time for that and it’s alot to keep up with. I’m already busy all day cleaning, cooking, changing diapers, being the servant to everyone. Ugh! I just want to focus on my family of course first, and the websites I’ve created, to make some extra money on the side and to help others do the same . Anyways, making a blog if you haven’t already is a great start. From there you could eventually start another website with a different niche that you are interested in. Let’s say your blog is about “hot Amazon finds”, you’re signed up as an Amazon affiliate and you’re posting about the coolest Amazon products. Yeah you’ll get some money with that blog. Then again you are interested in a niche that’s completely different, like “education for children”. You can start another website that’s completely dedicated to finding educational resources for children, or you can just find a way to squeeze that in your “Hot Amazon finds” blog. That probably won’t go as well as if it were on a different website though.

Where can you get a great website you ask?

Yes, I’m glad you asked. Here are some hand picked website building and hosting sites.

  • WordPress (of course!) My first website made here!
  • DreamHost :With plans starting at just $3.95 per month, excellent hosting, superior customer service makes this a winner.
  • : Stunning websites, easy quick website building that they basically build for you so you don’t have to do much. Their plans start at Freeeee!
  • : start for free.
  • : also where my other websites were born and are still growing . Start for free, choices to upgrade.
  • bluehost: starts at $3.95 as well. Another top notch website building and hosting site that’s been around for a while and trusted by many.
  • pretty good website builders as well.

You’ll need to listen to audio files or watch videos, and type out whatever is spoken. In the process, you’ll do minor editing such as ignoring filler words such as: um, uh, er, ah, like, okay, I mean, and you know. This is called “clean copy” transcription, and it applies to most of our jobs. Some jobs require “verbatim” transcription, which requires you to type out every verbal utterance, including filler words, stutters, etc. Beginners usually start with clean copy transcription.

Notice I’m not posting about “Paid Survey Sites”. Sites that pay you a few cents to give YOUR two cents. I’ve already waisted way too many hours with these sites. ( Yes , I fell into their survey crap ” get paid up to $50 or more per survey!” one too many times….for a few cents.) My opinion is that it’s a waste of time. Not everyone will make the dollar amount that say you can make. It kind of discriminates you. They ask you all these questions for your profile, like where you work? How much money you make? What’s your race? Did you graduate high school? I was completely honest, but when I started looking for surveys to do, I would get disqualified every time. So eventually I just gave up. I was waisting so much time and my data, for nothing. But…it’s really up to you if you want to do the surveys, if you’re into that kinda thing. 😝

Sell on Etsy

Another great way to bring in the dough and make a craft load of bread. ( See what I did there? Craft…instead of crap) 😂yeah, I laugh at myself, I’m cool like that!

Anywaayys, selling on Etsy is still really popular right now. In fact, it’s getting more popular. If you’re crafty , nifty-thrifty, a Fancy Nancy, Artsy Fartsy… Then Etsy should be your internet home. There are limitless possibilities to the things you could make and sell. Etsy is home to everything Home-made and beyond. You can find inspiration on Pinterest and Google or come up with your own crafts! The holidays is probably the most popular time of the year for shoppers who are looking for interesting finds and unique products. Now would be the perfect time to start selling. You could spend all summer increasing your inventory, then when the holidays come….Boom. Money money money!
